Has Morrissey just involved himself on the developing Spacey controversy? It seems as though the singer has an opinion on the situation, that of which has been attracting quite a few debates.
Singer-songwriter Morrissey spoke out on the recent allegations surrounding Kevin Spacey. He argued on how the topics and definitions of assault and harassment have become quite hazy.
Morrissey, commenting on the stars allegations, said that he had been “attacked unnecessarily”. He continued to say that it was “ridiculous” that Spacey was being removed from an upcoming film.

Last month, actor Anthony Rapp claimed that Spacey had apparently harassed him when he was 14, adding that he also was “trying to seduce him” at a party. Spacey, at the time, was 26.
Spacey replied to the alleged incident saying that he was “beyond horrified” yet he did not seem to remember the event.
“I hate rape… But in many cases, one looks at the circumstances and thinks that the person who is considered the victim is merely disappointed”, said Morrissey after saying that Rapp’s claims “did not sound very credible to me”.
Morrissey then added that many famous musicians had slept with fans who were under the age of consent, clarifying that he was not one of them.
The singer also made similar comments on the developing Harvey Weinstein scandal.
